Why isFitnessImportant?

Physical fitness is important because you are more likely to live longer and have more energy.

Regular physical activity will help you do these things. Physical activity is essential to prevent and reduce risks of many diseases and improve physical and mental health.

It can even help you live longer—research from the American Journal of Preventative Medicine indicates that regular exercise can add up to five years to your life.

What is thecorrectnutritionalbalance?

Being in a nutritional balance means that you consume just the right amount of calories, macronutrients and micronutrients from your diet.

In an optimal nutritional state, all of your nutritional needs are met without exceeding your caloric needs.

Maintaining a stable healthy weight, having low blood cholesterol and healthy blood-pressure levels are just a few signs of being nutritionally balanced.

If you notice sudden weight gain or lack of energy, it may be time for you to adjust your diet.

Learn to Recognize the Signs Of Dehydration

1. With moderate dehydration, you: become fatigued, may notice that your eyes take on a “sunken” look, may notice that your skin does not bounce back when pinched on back of hands, dizziness/vertigo and lightheadedness may occur, cold hands and feet can occur, may experience muscle cramping/twitching, may experience headaches and have a problem concentrating.
2. With severe dehydration you: can experience weak irregular heart beats (often racing) with low blood pressure, may experience rapid breathing, confusion and disorientation, may experience vomiting and/or diarrhea, in extreme :seizures, coma and death .
3. Chronic dehydration is believed by some researchers to put the body in a “fight or flight” mode which causes the body to physiologically produce stress hormones. These stress hormones like cortisol are helpful in small doses, but a constant stream of cortisol can cause our body to age prematurely and to retain excess stores of fat.
